Online Shop

Selflane runs a commission-free online shop for your business. Customers order pickup, curbside, or delivery from your menu; the orders flow into your iPad POS for fulfillment.

Most online-shop tasks live in adjacent sections — this page covers what’s specific to receiving and refunding online orders. For everything else, follow the links below.

Setup

Before accepting your first online order:

1. Set up your shop — onboarding guides for menu, hours, and storefront.
2. Stripe Account — required to accept online payments.
3. Online Ordering settings — enable order types (pickup, curbside, delivery), wait times, and tipping.
4. Hours — operating hours and prep time.
5. Delivery — third-party (DoorDash Drive, Uber Direct) or self delivery.
6. Share — your storefront URL and QR code.

Receive Orders

The recommended channel is the iPad POS app — free to download, free for online orders, with built-in printing and notifications.

• Email — Selflane mails new orders to the addresses configured in Email Settings. Free.
• Phone Call — enable auto-call in Phone Number Settings so Selflane rings your business when an online order arrives. 10¢ per call.

The POS prints to any ethernet-enabled kitchen printer automatically when an online order arrives — configure the route in POS Printing.

Receive	Detail and process

Cancel an Order

Cancel an online order from the POS when you can’t fulfill it. Selflane refunds the customer in full and emails them the reason you provide.

1. Open the order in POS.
2. Tap Cancel Order.
3. Enter a reason — this text is sent to the customer.
4. Confirm.

If the order was already marked fulfilled, tap Reopen first.

Partial Refund

For missing items, issue a partial refund instead of cancelling the whole order. Selflane recalculates tax on the refunded items and adds it to the refund.
