Menu Overview

A clean menu structure makes POS operations faster and improves online ordering conversion.

  1. Menus: top-level collections such as Main, Lunch, Dinner, Happy Hour.
  2. Courses: groups inside menus such as Appetizers, Salads, Entrees, Desserts.
  3. Dishes: sellable items assigned to one course and one or more menus.

A dish belongs to:

  • exactly one course
  • one or more menus

Use this order to avoid rework:

  1. Create Menus
  2. Create Courses
  3. Create Dishes
  4. Build Combo bundles
  5. Add Modifiers, Matrix Modifiers, and Ingredients as needed
