Resetting the Printer

To perform a factory reset on your printer, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Locate the RESET button, which may be positioned differently depending on the printer model. It is typically found near the ethernet cable port.
  3. Use a paper clip or the top of a pen to press and hold the RESET button.
  4. While holding the reset button, turn the printer on and continue to hold the reset button.
  5. After about 5 seconds, a warning will print out. Release the reset button.
  6. After another 5 seconds or so, another sheet will print showing the factory reset IP address of the printer. Note that newer Epson models will default to a DHCP address.

Following these steps should assist you in resetting your printer, particularly if you have encountered issues such as changing routers or setting up a used printer for a new environment.
