GuidesConfiguring Your POS

Configuring Your POS

Whether you run a full POS or only online ordering, every Selflane business uses the same iPad app to receive and manage orders. This step takes about 15 minutes per iPad.

Install the POS app

The Selflane POS runs on iPad and iPhone with iOS 15 or later.

  1. On the iPad, open the App Store .
  2. Search for Selflane POS and tap GET.
  3. Open the app and sign in with the same credentials you used in Setting Up Your Business. Your new business is already there.

Connect printers

Selflane supports most modern Epson  and Star Micronics  printers over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Bluetooth.

  1. In the POS app, go to More > Printers.
  2. Tap + to scan the network and discover printers.
  3. For each printer, choose where it should print:
    • Front — the receipt printer at this iPad (different at each station).
    • Kitchen, Kitchen2, Kitchen3, Bar — shared across stations.
  4. A green highlight and checkmark show your assignments.
  5. Tap Set Stations to save.

For full printer setup details and troubleshooting, see POS → Printers and Printer Troubleshooting.

Turn on auto-print for online orders

If you’re taking online orders, one iPad needs to auto-print incoming tickets to the kitchen.

  1. On the iPad you want to handle online orders, go to More > Settings.
  2. Toggle Auto Print Online Orders to On.

Important: if you have more than one iPad, only one should have auto-print on. Otherwise the same online order prints multiple times. See Online Printing Troubleshooting for details.

Pair a credit card terminal

Before the POS can take card payments, pair it with a credit card terminal (PAX) or Stripe reader. See POS → Payment Settings for the full pairing flow.

Next step

Continue with Launching online ordering.
