Redeem Gift Cards

Use a customer’s Selflane printed gift card or online e-gift card to pay for their order on Selflane POS. Choose the steps below for the card they present.

Choose the gift payment tab

On the payment screen, tap Gift Card and choose:

Number - look up a Selflane printed card by its card number.
Scan - scan an e-gift card QR code.
Card - redeem a processor-backed Physical Gift Card with the PAX terminal.
Certificate - redeem a gift certificate. This tab appears only when gift certificates are turned on.

The Selflane Gift Card section in the Gift Card Center is for selling cards. It is separate from these payment tabs.

Redeem a Selflane printed card

Use Selflane POS 7.5.0 or later to redeem cards by number. These are the Selflane Gift Cards ordered from Plastic Printers.

Open the customer’s order and tap Pay.
Tap Gift Card and choose Number.
Enter the card’s printed number under Enter Gift Card Number and tap Look Up.
Confirm the amount to apply it to the payment. Tap Use a different card to start over with another number.

Redeem an e-gift card

Ask the customer to open their e-gift card in their eWallet and show its QR code.

Open the customer’s order and tap Pay.
Tap Gift Card.
Choose Scan and scan the customer’s e-gift card QR code.

What if a printed card has no balance?

A new Selflane printed card holds no balance until its sale order is paid in full. Confirm that the sale order is fully paid. You can look up the printed card number under Gift Cards > Check Balance in the Back Office .

What if the card uses ValuTec?

Choose Card (Physical Gift Card) with your PAX terminal for processor-backed ValuTec cards. Use Number for Selflane printed cards. See Physical Gift Cards for program details.
