Settings

Set up each iPad for the work at its station. These options differ from the Back Office POS settings, which apply to your whole business.

Tap More > Settings to open App Settings. For receipt width, open More > Printers instead.

Printing

Auto Print Online Orders - turn this on for only one iPad to avoid duplicate online-order tickets. Keep that iPad on, with the POS open.
Kitchen Printing Hold Time - hold future orders until it’s time to cook. Choose from 10 minutes to 6 hours, or Print at creation to print immediately.
Unconfirmed Ticket Alerts - flag tickets the printer could not confirm, so you can check the printer and resend any that are missing.

App Language - choose the POS language on this iPad.
Quick Service Mode - skip table selection for counter service.
Drive-Thru Mode - allow this iPad to take Drive-Thru orders. This appears only when Quick Service Mode is on.
Default Order Type - choose Dine in or Pick up as the order type that opens in Make Order.
Show Rotating Tip Editor - show the tip-and-signature screen after a card payment.
Enable Pre-Charge Tip Editor - ask for the tip before the card is charged.
Mute New Order Sound and Mute Order Up - silence those alerts on this iPad.
Use CallerID - turn on if your restaurant has Caller ID hardware.
Scanner Camera - choose the Back Camera or Front Camera for barcode scanning.

Tap the charge icon on the payment screen.
Insert the card in the PAX terminal or Stripe reader.
Wait for approval and the tip-and-signature screen.
Rotate the iPad toward the customer, unless you use a Customer-Facing Display.
Have the customer choose a tip, sign, and tap Submit.
Tap the receipt printer icon at the bottom-right if the customer wants a receipt.

Station - tag this iPad’s orders and payments with a station number. Station also sets the Drive-Thru lane and the cash drawer this iPad opens.

Tip Entered on PAX Terminal - skip the iPad tip screen and ask for the tip on the PAX terminal instead. Confirm with your card processor that tip prompting is enabled on the terminal first. Otherwise, the sale is charged with no tip.

Automatically Lock Screen (Sign out staff) - turn on when servers share an iPad.
Lock Screen Idletime - choose 15, 30, 60, 90, or 120 seconds before the screen locks.

The POS adds Delivery fee/unit to the bill for every Delivery unit (miles) of distance, rounded up.

Delivery fee/unit - enter the fee charged for each unit.
Delivery unit (miles) - enter the number of miles in each unit. The default is 1. A unit of 0 adds no delivery fee.

Reset Device ID gives this iPad a new device ID. Contact Selflane support before you use it.
