Caller ID
When the phone rings, Selflane POS can match the caller’s number against your Member Program database and pop up the customer’s name, recent orders, and notes. The phone is still answered the normal way — Caller ID just gives staff a head start.
Requirements
Caller ID needs three things:
- Caller ID hardware from callerid.com connected to your phone line.
- An active Member Program in the Back Office, so the POS has customer phone numbers to match against.
- The Use Caller ID toggle enabled in POS Settings.
Extra hardware and a separate subscription apply.
How it shows up in the POS
Once configured, an incoming call from a phone number that matches a member shows a notification on the POS with the caller’s name. From the Make Order → Pick Up screen, you can tap Caller ID to load the customer directly into a new order without retyping their number.
