Merchant Services Overview

Merchant Services is where you connect a payment processor to your Selflane business. The flow is the same regardless of method: create a Stripe account for online orders, then choose a reader for in-person payments.

Setup Order

1. Stripe Account — required for online orders and for any Stripe-based in-person reader.
2. Stripe Terminal — choose between Bluetooth, internet-connected, or Tap-to-Pay readers.
3. Tap to Pay on iPhone — accept contactless payments on an iPhone with no extra hardware.

Alternative

• PAX Services — non-Stripe processors with PAX terminals, for businesses with an existing processor relationship.

Pricing

Online: a flat rate of 3.4% + 30¢ per transaction. In-person Stripe rates depend on reader type and are set by Stripe. PAX rates are set by your chosen processor.
