Self Delivery

Use self delivery when your own drivers deliver online orders. You set the delivery fee, the smallest order you’ll deliver, and the area you cover. Selflane doesn’t provide drivers for this option.

Self delivery and Third-Party Delivery can’t run together. Once courier delivery is connected, the Self Delivery Settings card is hidden.

Set up self delivery

1. In the Back Office, go to Settings > Profile > Delivery .
2. On the Self Delivery Settings card, check Enable Self Delivery. The rest of the fields appear.
3. Choose a Lead Time and enter the Delivery Fee and Minimum Purchase.
4. Set your delivery area by radius or by zone. See Set the delivery area.
5. Optionally, add a Note for customers.
6. Click Save. The Save and Reset buttons appear once you change a field.

To stop taking delivery orders, uncheck Enable Self Delivery and click Save. Your fee, area, and note are kept for next time.

Delivery settings

• Enable Self Delivery — turns delivery on at checkout.
• Lead Time — how long preparation and delivery take, shown to customers. Choose from 0 minutes to 3 days.
• Delivery Fee — a flat fee added to each delivery order. Enter $0 for free delivery.
• Minimum Purchase — the smallest order subtotal you’ll deliver. The default is $15, and the lowest you can enter is $10. If you saved a lower amount before, raise it to $10 or more before you save the card with self delivery on.
• Note — optional text shown to customers, such as “Free delivery over $50.” Up to 100 characters.
• Allow Alcohol Delivery — off by default. This checkbox shows even while self delivery is off. See Allow alcohol delivery.

Set the delivery area

The map centers on your business address. Choose one of two ways to draw your area.

Radius

Uncheck Use Zone, then enter the Delivery Radius (miles), from 1 to 100. The map shows a circle around your address. A new radius starts at 3 miles.

Zone

Check Use Zone to draw your own area on the map:

• Click the map to add a point. Points join in order around the center of the shape.
• Click inside the shape or on its edge to remove the nearest point.
• Drag a point to reshape the zone. Drag the small handle in the middle of an edge to add a point there.
• Click Clear Zone to remove every point and start over.

A zone needs at least 3 points. Saving with fewer shows an error.
