Delivery Settings

Turn on delivery for orders customers place through Selflane or your white-label website. A business uses either on-demand courier delivery or its own drivers for online checkout, not both.

Open the Delivery tab in the Back Office at Settings > Profile > Delivery . It holds up to three cards:

  • On-Demand Courier Delivery — always shown. Connect DoorDash Drive and Uber Direct, then set the courier options.
  • Self Delivery Settings — shown until courier delivery is connected. Set the fee, minimum purchase, and delivery area for your own drivers.
  • Tiered Delivery Discounts — shown once self delivery is enabled and saved, or courier delivery is connected.

For a new POS order, an eligible business can choose its own driver or a restaurant-paid courier. See Courier delivery on the POS.

Choose a delivery option

Third-Party Delivery: Couriers from DoorDash Drive and Uber Direct deliver orders placed through Selflane. You don’t need your own drivers.

Self Delivery: Your own drivers deliver the order. You set the delivery fee and the area you cover.

Tiered Delivery Discounts: Take money off the delivery fee for larger orders. Works with either option.

The Delivery tab doesn’t bring in orders placed on DoorDash Marketplace, Uber Eats, or Grubhub. Set those up under Third-Party Ordering.

Allow alcohol delivery

Allow Alcohol Delivery appears on whichever delivery card you see. The courier card and the self delivery card share the same setting.

  • Off (default): delivery orders that contain items from an Alcohol course are refused. That includes online checkout and courier orders created or converted on the POS. Pick Up orders with alcohol still go through.
  • On: customers can order alcohol for delivery.

The setting also decides whether your Alcohol courses appear on marketplace menus under Third-Party Ordering. It shows even while delivery is off for that reason.

Turn it on only if you’re licensed to deliver alcohol. A dish counts as alcohol when its course’s Classification is Alcohol. See Set up a course.
