Dish Guides
Use Dish Guides in Back Office to give staff a quick recipe reference for each dish. Staff can open a dish’s guide from the POS only when that dish has a saved guide.
Dish Guides are available to Back Office users with Manager access or higher. They are plain-text instructions for staff, not ingredient costing or inventory records.

- Use search to find a dish by name.
- Select

- Select a dish.
- In
Ingredients, enter one ingredient or preparation item per line. You can add up to 60 lines, with up to 200 characters on each line. - In
Method, describe how to make and finish the dish. The method can be up to 5,000 characters. - Optionally select
Add Phototo upload a finished-dish photo for staff to compare against. - Save the guide.
Write guides in the order staff use them during service. Include portions, preparation steps, cooking instructions, plating, and garnishes when they matter.
Manage guide photos
Select the photo area in a guide to add or change its photo. If a guide already has a photo, you can remove it from the same photo window.
The photo is optional. It helps staff check the final presentation; it does not change the dish image customers see.
Delete a guide
Open the dish guide and select the delete button. Confirm the deletion to remove the guide. The dish remains in your menu, but its POS recipe button is no longer shown to staff.
