Reservation Settings
Use Reservation Settings in Back Office to configure what guests can book before you manage reservations. Open Settings → Profile → Reservation.
Plan requirement: The reservation system requires the Power plan or higher.
Set up guest booking
The Booking Settings card controls whether guests can use your public booking page.
- Select
Edit. - Set the status to
Activewhen you are ready to accept online reservations. - Enter the
Contact Emailthat guests can use for reservation questions. - Add a description and refund policy for guests to read on the booking page.
- Set a refund timeframe in either days or hours. At least one timeframe is required. When you set refund days, the hours value is cleared.
- Optionally set a refund fee of up to 10%.
- Save your changes.
Use the Link in the Booking Settings card to open or copy your public booking page.
Create bookable items
Bookable items are the reservation types guests choose from, such as a standard table, patio table, or tasting-menu seating. The active items are also available when you add a reservation manually in Reservations.
- In
Bookable Items, selectAdd. - Enter a unique name, price, and status. Only
Activeitems are available to guests and staff creating a booking. - Add any guest choices from
Optionsif they apply to this item. - Add a description. For paid items, choose whether to allow tax and tips.
- Configure capacity and availability, then save.
You can drag items to reorder them, edit an existing item, or use duplicate to start a similar item. Paused items remain in your settings but cannot be booked.
Configure capacity
Choose Use Table when the item is limited by tables. Add one or more table groups with their quantity and allowed party-size range.
Leave Use Table off when the item is limited by seats instead. Enter the total seats, minimum and maximum party size, and choose whether to accept only even party sizes.
Configure availability
Choose one of these ways to offer times:
- Turn on
Use Time Slotsto set specific times for selected days of the week. - Leave it off to offer times at the selected
Time Gap.Last Booking Timecontrols how long before closing the final booking can start.
Use Start Date and End Date to make an item available only during a date range. Turn on Use Custom Weekdays to limit it to selected days; otherwise it follows your business hours.
Use the Bookable Window to set how far ahead guests can book. The From value can be today with an Hours In Advance lead time, or a number of days in advance. To is the latest number of days in advance. The end of the window must not be earlier than the start.
Use Blocked Items within a bookable item to remove a recurring day-and-time slot, such as every Sunday at 5:00 PM.
Add guest options
Options are choices you can attach to a bookable item, similar to menu modifiers.
- In
Options, selectAdd. - Enter a name, price, and description.
- Save the option.
- Edit the relevant bookable item and select the option under
Options.
Select an existing option to edit it. Delete an option only after removing it from any bookable items that use it.
Block a date or time
Use Booked Up to stop reservations during a closure, private event, or sold-out period.
- Select
Addin theBooked Upsection. - Choose the date and start and end times.
- Leave
Itemsempty to block every active bookable item, or select specific items to block only those choices. - Add an optional note, such as
Closed,Private Event, orSold Out. - Save the block.
You can edit or delete a saved block. You can also add, edit, and delete a Booked Up block from the matching day in Reservations.
