Cash Discount

Use Cash Discount to apply a different price or fee treatment to cash and card payments.

Before enabling a program, confirm that it complies with applicable laws and card-network rules for your business.

Configure a program

1. Open Point of Sale → Cash Discount.
2. Choose a Program.
3. Enter the percentage. The POS allows up to 4%.
4. Turn on Exempt Gift Cards when gift-card payments should not use the program.
5. For Dual pricing, optionally turn on Print Both Prices on Receipts.
6. Save your changes.

Choose No discount/surcharge to turn the program off. The available programs are Dual pricing, True-cash discount, Surcharge, Service fee, Convenience fee, and Non-cash adjustment.

Test before service

After saving, run a cash payment and an eligible card payment on the POS. Review the totals and printed receipt before using the program during service.
